This is a class lll river (from l-Vl), with 8-10 sets of some real fun rapids. After every section of whitewater you go through there is a calm section following. This is a very wide and deep river! Great for jumping in for a quick swim! Some sections are up to 80 feet deep. This is a good thing as the shallower rivers can be very technical and rated in the upper V’s. This is a great family river! Also, a great river for all ages who want some big waves. Our 8 mile "Classic" whitewater trip down the snake river is one of Jackson Hole's favorite Summer pasttimes.
8-Man Raft for the Thrill Seeker Hold on to your hats and glasses, this here is the wildest trip in Jackson Hole... This trip does require everyone to paddle. Unlike the "Classic" which does allow you to paddle but you can also trade off and take a rest. The 8-man trip will have you smiling ear to ear as you leave the boat ramp and enter such rapids as Lunch Counter, Big Kahuna and The Ropes.
This trip requires more aggressive paddling and is for the more experienced rafter. Please call if you have any questions about what to expect.
During our "High Water" there will be days we will not be running 8 Mans. If you happen to book on an 8 Man and water conditions are at a level we would consider "flip-stage" we would refund the difference in cost of the trip and only run our "Classic" boats. Safety is our number one concern!! We do think of you as "Our rafting family"...
Combination Trip
Jackson Hole Whitewater and Teton Expeditions have teamed up to
make the 8:45 AM & 12:45 PM combo our most popular trips! After floating
through 13 miles of some of the most beautiful scenery in Jackson Hole, you
will be treated to some of the wildest whitewater in Wyoming. The entire
trip takes about 7 hours and includes lunch on the river. If you choose
the 12:45 combination trip, it includes a deli lunch and has the optional BBQ with New York strip steak or 9 oz boneless skinless chicken breast for $6 per person. P.S. If you would like to bring a bottle of wine or
some beer, we will keep it on ice for you, because the BBQ is served
at the end of the trip!!
